Here is a fun little piece of art I created recently for a good cause.
To promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) outside the classroom, the Savannah-Coastal Empire Chapter of SWE (Society of Women Engineers) are hosting the ‘Brain & Brawn 5K Challenge.’ It’s a 5K outdoor race with a few STEM components built it. Participants will have the option to complete fun, STEM challenges while breaking up their 5 kilometer run. Challenges will consist of quick exercises like making a hoop glider out of paper straws, floating a paper clip in water, or creating an electromagnet.
I’m glad I was able to contribute to this super, fun event!
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a non-profit, educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.
